I am so terrible when it comes to blogging  LOL  I try to remember to take pictures of my supplies before and take pictures during the process but most times I get so excited to start my craft that I forget until after it is done  LOL  I am going to try to start doing better (notice I said try  LOL).  Anywho this is my new project I started.  I call it my "Belfry Pride" wreath.

Okay here is the finished project.  I am pretty happy with the way it turned out.

Okay this has been a busy crazy week for me so I haven't had much time to craft or blog (booo hooo) but going to try and catch up this week.  My daughter thought buying Valentine's for school was cheesy so we made our own.  Nothing fancy but something she knew her friends would like.

And this is what I mad for my sweetie for Valentine's Day

Can;t sleep but toooo tired to actually do anything constructed so sitting here bored and surfing the web.  Found some kewl information or ideas that I didn't know or hadn't even though of  LOL  So thought I would share with you and hopefully you will find something useful.

(Good to know for the next time you go bread shopping)

- Take your bananas apart when you get home from the store. If you leave them connected at the stem, they ripen faster.. I didn't know that!

- Reheat Pizza Heat up leftover pizza in a nonstick skillet on top of the stove, set heat to med-low and heat till warm. This keeps the crust crispy. No soggy micro pizza. I saw this on the cooking channel and it really works.

-Expanding Frosting: When you buy a container of cake frosting from the store, whip it with your mixer for a few minutes. You can double it in size. You get to frost more cake/cupcakes with the same amount. You also eat less sugar and calories per serving.

-Get Rid of Ants: Put small piles of cornmeal where you see ants. They eat it, take it 'home,' can't digest it so it kills them. It may take a week or so, especially if it rains, but it works and you don't have the worry about pets or small children being harmed!

- Taking a trip? Forget about packing those huge containers of toothpaste, antibiotic ointment, shampoo, and conditioner. Just insert a small amount into a straw, cut to size and melt the ends together. This could also work for condiments such as ketchup and mustard, couch medicine, even small pills. *Note: I know that burning some plastics can cause harmful chemicals. Please do some research before trying this.

- Clean out a ketchup bottle and add your pancake better. This will allow you to squeeze out as much as you want without dealing with all the mess. This would also work great with mustard and honey bottles, or any other squeezable bottles

I love to cook and bake when I have time (which isn't very often) and I love Pizza so when I found a recipe on Pinterest for Homemade Pizza Rolls I just had to try it and boy am I glad.  They were so good I ate 4 of them  LOL.

These are some of the ingredients I started with.

  • Crescent Roll
  • Pepperoni
  • Moz. Cheese sticks
  • Garlic salt
  • Butter
  • Parmesan Cheese

Roll out each triangle of crescent roll, layer with about 6 pepperoni, a piece of Moz. cheese

Roll up with seam side down.

Bake at 400 degrees for ummm I think I left them in there 12-14 minutes.  In the time they are baking mix a teaspoon of butter, 1/4 teaspoon of garlic salt (you can use more or less...depends on how much you like it) and tablespoon of Parmesan cheese.  After finish baking brush on pizza rolls and there you go.  YUMMY!!

Photos...the way the World really looks

I love taking pictures...(not with me in them though  LOL).  Just ask my daughter.  She gets so annoyed with me because I always have my camera by my side and when I got a new one for Christmas she was like "Okay who do I get to whip for getting her this?"  :P    And not only do I like to take pictures I love editing to.  And I was so upset when I found out Picnik was shutting down in April  :*(    So guess I will be looking for a new program to use for editing.  Thought about Photoshop but it scares me  LOL  Not sure I am computer-savy to adventure there  LOL.  Any-who here are a few photos that I have taken and edited.

More pics I took today...I love taking pictures

Another project I finished up was this cute little sign I seen on Pinterest and thought I would give it a shot.  This is what we started out with.

After I started painting the board I didnt like the dark colors (wish I would have went with the light colors but this is what Elizabeth picked out) soooooo I decided to Mod Podge some scrap fabric I had laying around to it . Then painted my letters with some silver paint I had and added some little white buttons with hot glue, attached some blue ribbon I had and wola!  A cute little sign to put on her door.  Her name is so long and the wooden board was small so I had to align her letters for them to fit but I think it turned out pretty cute this way.

Well spent this cold dreay day trying to learn out to make different types of bows.  This is one of them.  Not the prettiest but for my first try I think I do okay.  Want to get some new different cute ribbon when I go to Michael's Saturday.

I love photos!!!  Love taking them, love displaying them....just LOVE them!!!  So I have decided to make me a canvas B&W collage.  This is just the start of it.  I hope to soon add some different sizes as time allows.  I will post more pics as I add them.

I started out with a picture I had took a few years ago and edited it to B&W and into a 8x10 (Walmarts $2.99 hour service), some black craft paint $1.27, pack of sponge brushes $1.00, bottle of Mod Podge and a canvas board  2 for $5.95 (actually I mixed the pics up...some on flat canvas and some of the wooden canvas).

I covered my canvas in Mod Podge and also the back on my photo.  Placed it on the canvas...wait a few...let dry then used the black paint around the outer edge of the canvas and around my picture to give it a tinted look...waited over night....shew that was hard because I was so excited to get to the finished project  :)  Next morning I covered the photo with a thin layer of Mod Podge.  Let dry then started hanging.

I forgot to take pictures of the rest of them before I started but this is the project in progress...I put her ultrasound picture then going to add some of her when she was young then more of her now.

Keep checking back for my complete finished project.

Earring Holder

My daughter has recently gotten her ears pierced so we are overloaded with earring now  LOL  She wanted something other than her jewelry box to keep them in.  So I searched around and everything she liked was $$$$ so I thought maybe I could find something to make for her and save some $$$.  I found this on a site and thought I would take a shot at it and for my first try I think it turned out pretty good.

It originally had a mirror inside of it but had started turning black around the edges so I just removed the mirror, give it a fresh coat of paint, hot glued some ribbon that I had on hand to the back of it, added some embellishments that we had on hand and Woa-la!
Hi all!!  New to blogging and lover of crafting.
